New issue of Synaxis

In Synaxis, Issue 115, July – September 2010, 50 – 60, Katelis Viglas’ translation is included, of G. Kapriev’s article, “The Modern Study of Byzantine Philosophy”, Bulletin de Philosophie Médiévale. Édité par la Société Internationale pour l’Étude de la Philosophie Médiévale (S.I.E.P.M.), 48e année 2006, 3-13.

Synaxis, is an orthodox theological quarterly published in Athens, Greece. The new issue contains variant papers on different subjects such as the authenticity of the daily life, the essentials and the corruptions of the pastoral life, the meeting of Orthodoxy and Enlightenment, the modern study of Byzantine Philosophy, the character of the religious lessons in schools, the dialogue between theology and theater, the heritage of the theologian Alexander Schmemann, and finally Panayiotis Kondylis’ book, The Political and the man, is discussed.
